Local Stores/Grocery at Port

Hello, first time at Cayman Islands. Our plan is to head down to Public Beach beside Calico Jacks for the day.

Is there any grocery/corner stores in the port area ? Or maybe even along the way down to the beach?

We are looking to stock up on a few things for the day. For the kids. And the adults...:)

Thanks for any info

Cheers

Kirk Market is a major supermarket on North Church St on the way to Seven Mile Beach. Sodas, snacks, ice, and general food is available but no alcohol. Groceries are not permitted to sell beer, wine, or hard liquor in Cayman.

For alcohol you will need to mostly stop at a liquor store. The Delworths Esso gas station in front of Kirk Supermarket is one of the very few gas stations that sells beer. I don't recall about liquor or wine.

Prices are MUCH HIGHER than duty free, but it is the only choice for consuming on island.

Foster's Food Fair is another large supermarket that has hot deli items as well. It is right next to the Ritz in the Strand Plaza and on the way to the public beach/ Calico's. Blackbeard's Beer, Wine & Spirits is also located in the same plaza.

Good information from both of you.

Thanks. :)
