valandemmy Posted February 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2016 We have the ultimate drinks package on our upcoming trip.... IS there a limit like there is with Carnival? Is there anything that is not included? We also received the Dining plan where we can dine at 4 specialty restaurants...is there any that we should skip or that just are not worth the effort... We purchased a GTY balcony room....I was told by the reservation that there were "NO BAD" balcony rooms on the getaway (no obstructed views)...Is this the case, or should we look into getting a different room? Went it comes to tendering do we schedule times to tender...is it first come first serve...If we do schedule, can we schedule 90 days out...or do we have to do it on the ship. I see there are different main dining rooms...do they both serve the same things each night..or are there different menus per dining room. Feel free to give any additional information, advise, tips or tricks...this ship is HUGE>....wayyyy larger than anything we have been on before.. :D:D
triptolemus Posted February 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) 1) No... no limit. Full terms about exclusions and whatnot: https://www.ncl.com/terms/ultimate-beverage-package 2) Moderno. 3) If you care AT ALL about room locations as it relates to noise from anything, distance from anything, or view of anything, then DO NOT book a guarantee under any circumstance. 4) Tenders are arranged on board. Not something you pre-book. Unless you are Haven/suite guests or Platinum, or have booked an excursion through the ship, tender tickets are issued first come, first served. 5) Pretty much the same, minor differences. helen haywood Posted February 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2016 All drinks up to $15 covered. You will have trouble finding something that isn't covered. And if you do, you just pay the difference. There is no limit other than common sense... There are no obstructed balconies but Getaway has very small balconies. Do a search and you'll understand. Only room for two chairs... All three MDRs have the same menu.
Kealy Posted February 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2016 There are some things which are excluded, eg flights, bottles of wine (but you are free to order by the glass). We enjoy all of the specialty restaurants. If you're on a ship that has the waterfront, try it. We also did a guaranteed balcony and were happy with our room. You may end up with a long walk to the elevators. The 3 main dining rooms have the same menu. There are 3-4 entrees that are always available and 3-4 daily specials. Enjoy your cruise! Thats awesome news...does this include the cool glow drinks, or the specialty drinks in the cool cups (they had these on carnival...maybe not so much on Norwegian)

helen haywood Posted February 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2016 I don't know when your cruise is. Getaway has a great show, Burn The Floor, that we loved! In the future she will be also getting Million Dollar Quartet which originated on Escape. Absolutely see it if it's on your sailing!
