Allure of the seas... What type of lanyard to buy?

Recommended Posts

I think if you are going to buy a lanyard, I'd buy one with a clear plastic envelope attached (called a badge holder, I believe). Just Google lanyard with badge holder and you will see what I mean. This way, you don't have to punch holes in your seapass, it just slips in the envelope. They also sell these on board the ship with the Royal Caribbean logo. Have a great cruise!

I purchased the badge holder on Liberty last year on a 4 day. The plastic holder sleeve was tight. I had great difficulty removing the card and returning it into the sleeve. Split down one side after 2 days. I still like the concept. .there are similar ones out there that are tiny bit larger. This enabled me to keep all my winning casino $$ in the envelope. The sea pass is just the size of a credit card. Suggestion head over to Office Depot or Staples and check the ones they have.

We buy the one at the gift shop on board.

We do not like the sleeve, we just get a hole punched in card at customer service.

It ihas "bling" for me and DH.

And the DH buys the RCI logo one.

Enjoy

We had holes punched at guest services and used the short bungy style (coiling) key chains. You can hook one end of the key chain on the belt loop on your shorts and then slip the card in your pocket with no fear of losing it. The advantage of this is that you can open your state room door without having to unclip the chain from your pants loop thanks to the bungy, but it is still easy to unclip it to hand over to pay for something.

I have the cute bling one with the plastic badge holder. Love the lanyard, hate the plastic holder. Sea pass would often get stuck on the plastic and was hard to remove. Next time I'll keep the lanyard but will ask them to punch a hole in my card to use it that way.
