Princess Regal Balcony Rooms - Kid bunkers

Any know how the kid bunkers work in the rooms?

Some people say the bunkers come out of the ceilings.

Other people say they come out of the side walls.

I have searched in vain and I have not seen any pictures from Princess Regeal.

We have 2 kids, so there will be the 4 of us.

We were told we have 2 twin beds. In the system we had no option to make the twins into a double.

Wondering, does anybody know how the bunkers work for the kids?

is there a safely rail?

Anybody have any pictures for the kid bunkers?

Hi there! We travel quad share with our kids so appreciate your query. I did a Google and found some photos and also a link to a cc thread from a family who had similar trouble finding photos online.

It seems it may differ based on cabin whether the beds come from the wall or the ceiling. In a verandas or mini suite it is likely the sofa bed will be the 3/4th sleeping quarters! Most deck plans should have an icon to depict the type of 3/4th bedding in a specific cabin.

Whilst some of these photos (Ruby Princess) don't show the side retainer in place all bunk beds will have this for safety.

Balcony cabins have bunk beds that come down from the ceiling (different style than the ones shown in the picture above).

There is a picture on CC somewhere that shows that type of bunk bed.

You will have difficulty moving around in the cabin and the steward will be forced to walk on the lower bed if you insist on a queen bed configuration. It is possible, but not practical. That is why the system won't allow it in the Personalizer.

Yes the pull down style are shown in the included thread link in my post...it may be the same pics you refer to?

Certainly looks quite tight and the OP of this thread also discussed the impracticalness, although when you have young kids you gotta make it work!
