Hello,

Its just 33 days before our trip on the Norwegian Jade. Although we have cruised many times this is our first freestyle cruise.

With so many restaurants on board do you have to decide and book a table in the morning where you want to dine at night or can you make a last minute decision. How do you book a table at the relevant restaurants?.

Thanks for your help, the boards are very helpful.

You can book online 90 days away from your cruise if you wish. You can also book onboard via touch screens on the ship or from your tv! :) We personally book times as I like to have a plan. But, it is totally up to you and how comfortable you are with possibly waiting for a table. :)

Many of the specialty restaurants don't have a problem with making a late reservation or even showing up with no reservation, but the Teppinyaki (sp?) Japanese restaurant only has about 12 or 16 seats and fills up very quickly. Also, Le Bistro is popular and Platinum Latitudes members get a free meal there, so it can fill up.

First off, you can log into your account on the NCL website, and got to your Jade reservation, open it up and go to explore and plan. All the for pay restaurants will be displayed, and you simply pick the date and time you want to dine. However, with only 33 days left until you board ship, many other passengers have already booked their dining. Should you wait until you board, there will be a reservation desk set up and you can book there. Finally, if you are in a suite, or in the Haven, the Concierge generally has some same day reservations available. Hope you enjoy your cruise aboard the Jade.:)

We just got off the Spirit on a B2B.

There was no real requirement to make a reservation in the two main dining rooms. The option was there but we never had problem getting a table on a last minute decision.

if you decide that you want to do specialty dining, I would suggest that you either book online for a specific day and time or go to the restaurant reservation desk on the ship shortly after embarkation. Beware that it is hard to get reservations for specialty restaurants on sea days. Not to say that it is not possible but you may not be able to get the timing that you prefer.

Enjoy your cruise on the Jade. Had a great time on her two years ago. It is a great ship.
