Venice Walking Tours

We will be in Venice in August and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a great tour guide (walking)? Thanks in advance.

The general comments here is a guide is not required in Venice, it is all very easy to walk. You might seek a guide like Rick Steves to highlight some key sites. Venice is very walkable.

Yes, a walking tour is not necessary, but very nice to have and not expensive. We used walksinsidevenice.com I can highly recommend. We ended up having a tour just my husband and myself. Make sure you choose a tour for inside St. Marks. No waiting in line, the guide has special access. Then you just enjoy the view and soak up the ambiance while the guide explains all. We walked all over Venice, taking the commuter gondola to the other side then crossing the Rialto bridge and back. Also, you get to have a conversation with a Venetian.
