eDocs & luggage tags error. How serious?

Went to print my eDocs and tags for our June 4 Escape cruise. All is well, except for one thing. The cabin number was right, but it said FWD instead of AFT. And we're in a Haven aft-facing PH. Called the haven concierge. She put me on hold then came back a minute later to say "don't worry about it. As long as the cabin # is ok, you'll get your bags as usual." Somewhat comforting words, but her tone wasn't all that reassuring.

Has anyone else had this problem, and did your bags gat delivered "as usual?"

Afterthought: since this is a haven suite, maybe they all say FWD...

Your afterthought is correct. The suite might be facing aft, but it's located in the forward part of the ship. The FWD indicates to the porters when they're loading the bags how to divide them. The Escape does have some Haven access suites category H6 that are aft. What's the cabin category you're in?

Yes, we are in an H6. Definitely on the stern.

But I'm thinking maybe all haven bags go forward at loading.

If you don't like what they say, don't use them. Get luggage tags from the porters at the pier.

  • 2 weeks later...

that they simply only want to have one of the terminals to have Haven checkin and reception. So since the majority of the Haven and the concierge and Butler are Forward in the Haven, they want you there first to take the tour and all , and then will be escorted back to your suites in the Aft section?

Just wondering

An Aft penthouse is not located in the forward part of the ship, it's located at the very rear, as far back as you can go. OP: I would call someone else and try to have this resolved.

I might be very wrong here but since it gives her cabin # then does it really matter if it says fwd or aft? there is only one room number 9918- it just will come on a different elevator and the person delivering will know where it goes. Aft is in the Stern by the way - not the front if it had been in the front it would say Forward Facing Islesdave - sorry

I finally called the pre-cruise concierge. It's just an error. No worries. They go by cabin number, and they know where 9918 is located.

Thanks to all! :)
