There is something for everyone to enjoy on the sports deck....mini golf, foosball, pool, walking track, SkyRide, SkyCourse, Basketball, Fitness Equipment, Bowling, and Kickball (on a pool table...sorry no picture of this).

After checking out the Sports Deck we decided to head down to get a drink. I stopped a crew member to get a few pictures with this beautiful background

After a drink...ok maybe two :p I really enjoyed the Shade Ade drink onboard the Vista. It was something different that I hadn't tried before.

 

After our drinks we headed down to the cabin to take a little nap. We woke up around 6:30 pm and decided to head up to the Red Frog Pub for some appetizers/dinner.

 

This was my friend Chai from Indonesia. I cruised with her on the Elation in December 2015. I sat down at the Red Frog Rum Bar and she remembered me. I'm not sure who she remembered more....me or Pedro

As we were headed to the Red Frog Pub we ran into Matt Mitcham...Mr. Hottie. He loved our shirts that we had made. Our shirts said "Proud Member of Heald Nation".....more to come about these shirts later

Ok so I always thought it was a little odd to wear a chicken hat around the ship and in ports but I did it because it was fun and people got a giggle out of it.

This guy takes the cake as far as weirdness goes. His name was Max and his "friend" was Carl. Max brought Carl on the cruise because Max was cruising alone (I know that comes as a total shock that a grown man who carries around a stick figure was traveling alone). Max said that if he had to pay for two people then he was bringing "his friend".

I didn't feel so odd wearing Pedro now....this guy took first place for weirdness

We saw our first sunset of the cruise as we were walking along the Promenade deck

 

Our buddy Lewis in the Red Frog Pub was making us a Fishbowl drink

 

This drink was the Rum Jumper

 

I ordered the Coconut Shrimp for dinner

 

And if one fishbowl wasn't enough we ordered a Blue Bahama. Laura and I split the fishbowl....that was a lot of booze

 

Pedro was enjoying it too

So anyone who knows me will know that Angry Orchard is my go to beer and I am a sucker for some fireballs. Nothing like an Angry Balls drink to cleanse the palette

 

I loved these guys (from L-R)...Isaiah, Danesh, and Gavinne. They were awesome and definitely one of the reasons why we went to Red Frog Pub every night of the cruise

 

Ed was the Guitar Player in the Red Frog Pub. Ed wanted to wear Pedro for a couple songs....haha

 

Laura, Ed, and Butch. Anyone who had a chance to cruise with Butch were lucky. He is such a great guy

So I guess in the uploading of some of my pictures they got out of order so I will now resume where we left off leaving the Sports Deck. After we left the sports deck we wanted some lunch so we headed to the Mongolian Wok.

The Mongolian Wok is a very popular destination for lunch on many ships...the Vista was no different but the Vista has things figured out. At Mongolian for lunch you go to a table (just like you would do at Cucina) and you receive a menu to fill out what you would like and it is then delivered to your table. This is so convenient...hopefully more ships start to do this.

After lunch I wanted to play trivia. Now this would usually be no big thing for me on a cruise but ever since my dad passed away I just can't bring myself to go to trivia. That was something that we loved to go together. I went back and forth about going or not. In the end I decided to play .... I am happy that I went

Ok so has anyone ever tried the Blue Velvet cake....what were your thoughts??

 

I tried it and the frosting was good but cake was so dry. It was edible but barely...

After a couple hours in the Red Frog Pub we headed out onto Lido Deck for the Blue Iguana Mexican Fiesta party

So after a long day onboard of exploring we decided to head to bed around 2:00 am....wow that was a long but very fun day. Tomorrow would be a Sea Day...

We slept in a little this morning...but once we were up and moving we headed up to the Horizons Dining Room on Deck 3 AFT for the Sea Day brunch

 

My favorite...the Hot Chocolate. The hot chocolate on Carnival is amazing. I keep wondering if I can steal one of the cocoa machines in my carry on next cruise

After brunch it was time for a little R & R out in the European sun

After lunch I decided to take a walk out on deck 11. As I was walking on the port side of the ship...I looked out and saw this

 

Now we were in the middle of the Aegean Sea but this island just pops up out of nowhere. They were definitely a part of the Greek Islands

Now the pools onboard are normally salt water but on the Vista in the Mediterranean the water was fresh water. And to our surprise the water was very warm....which was odd because we hadn't had warm air temperatures on the cruise.

Good memory. I did indeed move to Florida. I live in Davenport and I am working in Orlando. I love it

 

Didn't know you were in Davenport now. I'm in Lakeland and work in Winter Haven. You'll love the winters summers we love our ac.

Yeah he was definitely with me playing trivia. He loved to play trivia...it was always our favorite onboard activity.

He always got a kick out of it when we would play sports trivia and beat the guys...no offense guys [emoji12]
