Verizon Wireless and Celebrity

We cruise on Celebrity a few times a year and I've always used my Verizon wireless service while on board to text back to the states and Canada for .50 to send and .05 to receive. Verizon wireless says that they no longer have service with Celebrity. Does anyone know if Celebrity is using their own system now or has a private deal with another carrier?

They must have eliminated other carriers. Friends used to be able to use their AT&T plans and we could use our Verizon, but I guess one of them opted out. Very disappointing as AT&T won't work with my phone. :(
