While docked here is there a public bus that I can take to get to cocoa beach. I just want to walk around for a little bit.

yes but they run only once every 30 minutes so I recommend a taxi

 

there is sometimes a special 'excursion bus' that goes to Ron Jon ... there you are only a block off the beach . . .

It depends!

 

If you dock at terminal 1 then yes - the local SCAT bus stop is on the corning near the parking garage. You can see the route on this map marked in red.

If you dock at terminals 5, 6 or 10 then you have to take a taxi

If someone is getting ready to check in to go on a cruise can you please ask the person who checks you in what agency they work for? My sister just moved to Merritt Island and wants to see about working there. The check in people do not work for the cruise ship.

the 'port' does not hire the terminal folks who do the check in either

 

that's a 'stevedore' company and unless you know someone the list is LONG ... popular job. Doesn't pay well but the perk of free or super discounted cruises makes it very popular with our LARGE retired community . . .

Do you know the name of the agency that hires for these positions? I have contacted the HR at port and yes they do not hire for those positions.
