Shoes for evening casual?

What kind of shoes can you wear on these nights, I know not trainers but are loafers ok or boat shoes, it just says no trainers, what about canvas pumps.

 

He may be wearing black jeans or dark chinos, I dont think he will be comfortable in formal shoes.

I usually wear clean black runners that look like regular shoes.

I wear comfy shoes/sandals on any night, but I guess you are asking about OH. I would guess loafers/boat shoes are both ok. They are both smart. Canvas pumps, well I wear my sketchers of an evening sometimes so yes ok.. I think any type will look ok.

I guess its the laces and general look of trainers that make them look very casual (no matter how much they cost)

Black cargo pants ,probably ok.

Really nobody really looks at what others are wearing..unless it the sort of outfit that makes them stand out .

People tend to worry more about what they are wearing on formal night.
