California Costals port (time) changes

I noticed something slightly curious as to the departure changes for both San Diego and Long Beach. Currently it is 5 and 6 pm for departures but now, for the 2017 fall departures, it is 11pm. Just curious as to why Princess would make such a large difference in departure times, especially in light of their losing time for the casino. This is for the San Francisco California coastals.

There are tourist attractions out of both cities that are far away. The shortened hours don't give much time to enjoy Hollywood or the museums in the greater LA area. Same for San Diego.
