The Empress does not have formal nights.

Not only is there not a formal night, but the attire in the dining room is very informal. We saw many people in shorts, and even a few tank tops, on our 7/4 Empress sailing.

Despite the fact that Empress has no Formal Night we were surprised that quite a few guests dress as if there is one particularly on the evening when they do the flag presentation and pictures are taken with the Captain.

We have been on her twice since her return to RCI.
