Carnival room doors

Can anyone tell me if the room doors on the Ecstasy are metal? I am asking because we are celebrating my grandmothers birthday while onboard and want to decorate her door. And wondering if magnets are better than tape.

TIA

While there are a few ships in the fleet that have metal doors, it's always best to plan on having a wooden door. Also, you're not allowed to use tape of any kind for attaching door decorations. It will leave a sticky residue, and may damage the door's surface. Use Command strips, or poster putty (Fun Tak). Although it doesn't always happen, there is a slim chance that your decorations may be stolen or damaged. Don't use anything that you can't afford to lose. The Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby and Party City are all good sources for inexpensive, ready-made decorations.

I'm not sure about the Ecstasy, but they were metal on Pride

This is good to know. Do people decorate their doors on the Pride? We have only cruised DCL previously, and we always decorate our door. A lot. Like people stop and stare a lot.

A few do. We had a large "just married" magnet (we got married on the Pride and it was our wedding/honeymoon cruise). :). We got a lot of "congratulations"
