dmsw00 Posted August 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Hi there, Can anyone advise whether it is possible to use non-refundable on-board credit to pay the service charge and/or gratuities on the Ultimate Beverage Package? Sorry, heading should read "DSC". Many thanks in advance. Edited August 14, 2016 by dmsw00 spelling
swedish weave Posted August 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Hi there, Can anyone advise whether it is possible to use non-refundable on-board credit to pay the service charge and/or gratuities on the Ultimate Beverage Package? Sorry, heading should read "DSC". Many thanks in advance. NCL would not allow me to use my non-refundable OBC for the DSC or the casino. They bill the 18% service charge for the beverage package when you book in the USA. I don't know how they do it in the UK. j-9 Posted August 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2016 The non-refundable OBC can't be used for DSC. It might be possible to use it for the grats on the UBP, if you are buying the drink package on the ship. If you have it as a promo the grats are included in your final payment, so will need to be paid before you get on the ship. OBC can only be used on board. vince_g Posted August 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) It cannot be used to pay the beverage service charge because you have to pay for that before you board the ship (except if you purchase UBP onboard). Your OBC cannot be used before you sail. From what I have read, non-refundable OBC cannot be used to pay the DSC either. It would have to be refundable. ColinIllinois Posted August 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Noting that you are from the U.K., if you received the UBP as a promo you do not pay the 18% gratuities. It is included in the package for the U.K.
