You moved up a loyalty level to GOLD! If I remember right, this is your 4th 7 day cruise. Gold begins on Day 25, and if you cross in to 25 at any point during your cruise, you are gold the whole cruise. You should have also had a gold card instead of a red one this time?

The pin and drink are part of the gold level. Gold used to include a few more things, but has been scaled back in the last year or so.

Yes, our cards were gold this time. The hubby (also on his 4th cruise) is no longer stuck on BLUE!!! LOL (His Breeze cruise a few months ago, his card was blue and I joked non-stop about it, even though it should have been red). :D

Well, I like these perks!

Great review!

This is very informative and gives me a good idea on what to expect with friends who might be bringing their daughters who should be roughly the same age when they sail (this would be the same cruise in 2018 ).

Looking forward to more

Thanks and glad you like it.

Wow...what were they thinking when they painted the front of the building red like that?!?! Kind of "loud". LOL!!! I guess you can't miss it and it's easy to fine. This is what it was like last year and all the other times we've been in San Juan.

Oh, to answer your question on my previous quote where I mentioned I'd LOVE Palomino Island and am getting ideas...yes, I did mean to say actually stay at the El Conquistador Resort and then to Isla Verde the day before a cruise. I'd actually love a week long, land vacation in PR sometime though. There is just so much to see and do there.

Can't believe the cluster you had boarding...sheesh!!! The porters were always right there where the taxis and transport buses were dropping people off and the check-in has been really easy, and super fast, each time we've done this itinerary, but it happens. Looking forward to the rest when you have time and glad to hear your son will be fine.

Oh wow, That is different (the colors). I really like colorful things (especially when cruising), so I kinda like the red. It definitely yells "CRUISE HERE!!!!"

Yea, so much to see and do there that I think I might need a week long vacation there as well. But it would be so hard for me to go and NOT get on a ship.:p

So, I'm still left wondering. Are we supposed to get a porter to get our bags and us just walk down the sidewalk and check in? Or can we pull our own luggage to the building and check it in? I'm still confused. Especially when all he did was walk beside us.

MY SHIP PICTURES:

I have to say, looking at all of my pictures of the ship, I really didn't take a lot. I think because it was such a port intensive cruise, and such a small ship, I just didn't really invest too much time into it.

We'll start with Deck 7, because that's really the "first" deck there is anything other than rooms.

THE ATRIUM:

Were the colored lights there and your camera didn't capture it, or were they just not there?

Bogarts Cafe

Ok...just a tid-bid for you guys. If you use the kiosk on the ship for whatever reason...especially just to check your room charges at the end of the cruise. There are two that I found. One is obviously by the customer service area in the atrium. Toward the end of the cruise, there will be long lines. HOWEVER...there's also one located here at Bogarts. I NEVER seen anyone on it (even at the end of the cruise). :D

Casino

Zillion Gators (I did pretty good on this and it paid the minor jackpot a lot during this cruise when I was on it).

I ran these Gold Fish machines. Like seriously...I would start at one end and at least double my money, then move down, then repeat all the way down the line. I was constantly hitting the bonus rounds and they always seem to pay good. There was hardly ever anyone on them either and I couldn't figure out why.

This super bright light Howling Wolf game (and there's tons of others similar) are always big favorites on the cruise ships. People are usually waiting in line a lot of times to play. They did not seem to be very popular on this cruise.

Hot Shots

I didn't have any luck with the Jackpot party.

Hot Roll Machines were a hit or miss. But the 2nd to the end was always hitting the dice roll. Another lady told me about it and when I tried it, I hit the bonus to roll the dice and I ROLLED 49 TIMES!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even know it was possible to get that many (before rolling a 7 and I was out). The only problem was, I had bet the minimum amount (but still won a decent amount). Man if only I had bet higher. After that, I started betting higher (I swear she talked me into it). But, I never got to roll that many times again darnit.

I love this lucky 7 spitfire multiplier game. It can keep you going for hours.

This Firehouse Hounds...LOVED this game. It hit the bonus round a lot too. I won some pretty decent money off of it and won more than what I put in it just about every time I played. The hubby tried it once after he seen that I was doing good on it and he hit for well over $100 and only put $10 in it. It was always his "go-to" machine if he wasn't doing any good. (I also play this at home and they hit often too).

Kendra was like "Oh great, you have great weather all week there and I'm on my way to that!" I immediately decided to check the weather. I could tell that all of a sudden it wasn't as hot as it had felt about an hour before.

But, it was still fairly warm. 8am in the morning with predicted thunderstorms the rest of the day. It did start to sprinkle a little, but nothing major. With clouds like this, you would have thought it would be a downpour. The rest of the day didn't look promising either.

Thank goodness we were going to be away from here this following week. It didn't look promising. At least when we returned the following Sunday, the weather was supposed to clear.

Kendra said they were boarding the second plane and the last text she sent me said they were taking off. At least I knew she had made it and was on her way. I had about 4+ hours to fret before she arrived and that also meant 4+ hours of peace and quiet too.

I woke the family up and we decided to head out for some breakfast. It had stopped sprinkling as quickly as it started, which is good since we were walking.

Back to McD's we went. I know, not the authentic PR breakfast, but it was cheap and cheap is good.

There's that "large" coffee again.

P8141020%20copy-M.jpg

A trip to the restroom before we headed back to the hotel and I found something else all bathrooms should be equipped with!

Now I KNOW you are stressed about school!! Thats not McD's :D

More of those loud light flashing games that no one played this cruise.

P8151090%20copy-L.jpg

P8151091%20copy-L.jpg

Wonder Woman was a hit or miss (more like a miss when I was on them), but I watched a guy constantly playing it and he won quite a bit. (We just got this game at one of our casino's here at home and I decided to play it the other night and hit the major jackpot...I guess I have decided I like this game LOL).

P8151093%20copy-L.jpg

Fishing Bob...oh how I love Bob. He treated me well on this cruise and he also treated me well on the Breeze.

P8151094%20copy-L.jpg

NOW THESE GAMES...They were the hot item of the cruise. Everyone wanted to play. Everyone waited for people to move. Everyone stood around in a group and watched people win and win and win. The bonus round seem to hit often and pay decent (even with the lowest bid, which was only .38).

P8151095%20copy-L.jpg

Never seen anyone playing these this cruise
