Help me decide!

I always trust the opinion of some members on here. Just off of a cruise this past Saturday and received a casino offer for a free interior cabin(have to pay taxes of course). We have it narrowed down to a 7 day on the Ecstasy to Bermuda(we love Bermuda btw) and a 7 day on the Sunshine going to Amber Cove, HMC, and Grand Turk. We have never been to Amber Cove. Which would you choose and why? Thanks for your help!

if you earned a free casino cruise that indicates to me that you spend some time out and about around the ship (at least in the casino!).

based on ship, i would choose sunshine. it has so many more venues, and in that regard even things you might be comped for (things like free steakhouse dinners, etc. i read about) than the smaller fantasy class ecstasy. if ship is important to you, i'd pick sunshine for sure.

on itinerary, you say you love bermuda, so that indicates to me that you've already been there. the sunshine itinerary has a port you haven't been to, and includes stops at HMC and grand turk too. 3 ports vs. 1 (albeit you love it), i'd pick the new and more varied experience of that itinerary myself.

so for me, i'd say a win for the ship and itinerary on sunshine - that would be my pick.

I can't say it any better and agree 100%.

If you've been to GT, from what I've read AC seems to be comparable as far as the port area goes. There is quite a bit right there to do for free or low cost so you don't have to go beyond it. If you choose to go beyond the port you will need to book an excursion you can't really walk anywhere on AC although you can rent taxis, I don't know if they have public beaches, they do have gorgeous private beaches available on the excursions but most excursions are provided by time shares even those booked with Carnival so you may be shooing away the salesmen once or twice when you are on your excursion.

It'd be hard for me to pass up Bermuda but I LOVE HMC, the down side is it's not a guarantee stop. Combined with the other 2 though I think I'd probably go with the 3 ports.

What time of the year are you free to cruise / is there a time period that you have to use the offer?

If you have to use the offer within the next 6 months I would select the Sunshine as the winter season is fast approaching.

However, if you love to golf or spend several days in a single port rather than island hopping, the Bermuda itinerary would better suit you.

Fortunately you really can't go wrong with a free cruise :)

We have to use it before March. However, we will most likely use this offer for the November/December time frame. March is too long to wait to cruise again [emoji6]

I'm the opposite of you right now lol, I would chose the Bermuda one because I haven't been there yet and really want to go!

However as someone who did a Sunshine cruise to those exact ports I would HIGHLY recommend it. Sunshine was a great ship, nicely decorated with all the bells and whistles, and easily the best Serenity area. Amber Cove was a great port, and GT and HMC are always great!

I certainly would avoid Bermuda in November / December. That being the case it would be the Sunshine for me!

We have decided on the Sunshine thanks to you guys. Never been on that ship before. What location would you book your stateroom? I love interior rooms. They are dark and I sleep better. What's the best deck? Forward? Midship? Aft?
