Are TAXIS always available at SAN PEDRO PIER??

We were planning to take a taxi from San Pedro to LAX when we get off the Sapphire Princess. For any recent Sapphire cruisers, are they always available?

Yes they are $45 per cab. we shared with another couple and split the cost.

Yes, they are swarming EVERYWHERE...and make it very hard for passenger cars to pick up at the curb. Enforcement of the taxi zone (south end of the curb area) is pretty poor.

We just returned on 10/29. Took a taxi from Pier to Lax for $42 plus tip. Our color got called around 8:45am and I think we pulled up to the airport by 10:30 (sad that I've forgotten the specifics already). Note though, there was NO traffic to speak of so that's why the taxi was that inexpensive.

If you get a taxi do try and share it with another couple. I was still in shock getting off the Island Princess and was approached by another couple in line at the taxi stand with that intention. Worked out great and half the price!!
