Flight time on way home from FLL/MIA

I am cruising on the NCL Escape on the Apr. 22 departure. I am wondering what time is safe to book my flight home on the 29th out of FLL or MIA.

There is one at 11:50am out of MIA on United, is that too early. People have recommended not earlier than noon? It disembarks at 8am according to the itinerary. TIA:)

This is discussed frequently here. The key piece of info you left out is what port you are sailing out of.

 

It is commonly discussed here that if you are sailing and flying out of Ft Lauderdale, you can catch a flight as early as 10:30. Most are comfortable with 11am.

 

It is commonly discussed here if you are sailing and flying out of Miami, a flight after 11am is appropriate.

 

If you are sailing out of one (Miami, for example) and flying out of the other (Ft Lauderdale in this example) 12 noon is the recommended earliest flight. Same for sailing out of Ft Lauderdale and flying out of Miami.

The ride from POM to the FLL airport takes about 45-60 minutes, depending upon traffic. From PE to MIA I would plan on an hour or more - and you'll find far fewer travel options as only a couple of shuttles are licensed for MIA (Uber is your friend! ;))
