These are the hotels we were looking at but I don't know how close to the pier they are. I just don't want to be 30 minutes away by taxi.

La Concha

Intercontinental

Hyatt House

San Juan Marriott

Any help guiding me in the right direction is appreciated.

Most hotels will only be between 10-15 minutes aways depending on traffic.

San Juan will be like any other city with rush hour traffic but still VERY close.

The intercontinental is in Isla Verde and very close to the airport but a little further to the pier .... beautiful spot on the beach. Iv'e stayed a few times and recommend it. Taxi is the best way to get around. Hope this helps

In order by how far away from the pier closest to farthest:

1. Hyatt House- closest to the pier but not walkable and literally nothing nearby. Will need taxi to go out to eat, shop, or get to pier.

2. La Concha and Marriott - about a city block apart in Condado vibrant neighborhood with tons to do and places to eat- my top choice. 10-15 minutes to pier.

3. Intercontinental- in Isla Verde and closest to the airport- great hotel, pool and beach are the best of all choices- 20-25 minutes from pier.

I have been to San Juan multiple times. I have stayed at all of your choices except Hyatt House. Pick the Marriott Stellaris resort and Casino or La Concha. You won't regret it.
