Leaving car at Miami airport during cruise??

Hi everyone...has anyone ever just drove to the airport & left their car there for a 7 day cruise? And if so, are there shuttles to the port or would we have to get a taxi? There will be 4 adults & 2 children.

I realize this is not answering your question but why not just park at the port of Miami. It would be easier to me to do that and it is a safe place to park your car.

I believe the remote long-term lot at MIA that cost $8/day is no longer open.

So your only savings would be $3/day at the MIA garages ($17) versus PortMiami ($20).

One taxi ride and your savings is gone, never mind a shuttle that charges by the person.
