Bancyfelin Posted January 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2017 We are booked on Thomson Dream flying to Jamaica, sailing from Montego Bay on 16 night cruise. Been told that we do not need to have yellow fever vaccination as long as we have not visited a country at risk of yellow fever in the last 6 months. We have not, but how do we prove it? Vitalsign Posted January 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I have done this TA twice from Montego Bay you do not need a yellow fever certificate You are classed as passing through and on arrival at the airport you will be fast tracked through a side door onto a coach and do not go through the arrivals/immigration procedure in the main airport You leave that evening on the ship and visit other islands before crossing Atlantic to Madeira where no certificate is required We will be cruising with you it's a great cruise you'll really enjoy I'm sure Thomson Spirit Oct 2005 Repo Palma to Sharm el Sheikh Thomson Celebration Jan 2007 Red Sea Magic Ocean Village Feb 2008 Western Caribbean & Central America Ocean Village Aug 2008 Eastern Med Ocean Village 2 Feb 2009 Eastern Caribbean Ocean Village Mar 2010 Eastern Caribbean Thomson Dream Feb 2011 Eastern Caribbean & Cuba Thomson Celebration Aug 2011 Eastern Med Thomson Celebration Apr 2012 Red Sea Magic Thomson Celebration Apr/May 2012 Repo Sharm el Sheikh to Marmaris Thomson Dream Feb 2013 Eastern Caribbean Thomson Majesty Nov/Dec 2014 Colourful Coasts Canaries Thomson Dream Jan/Feb 2015 Western Caribbean Panama & Cuba Thomson Dream Apr 2015 Transatlantic Sunset Thomson Majesty June 2015 Hellenic Classics Thomson Celebration Sept 2015 Adriatic Affair Thomson Dream Jan 2016 Mayan Treasures/Cuban Revolution Thomson Dream April 2016 Atlantic Adventure Thomson Dream June 2016 Iconic Islands/Adriatic Explorer Thomson Celebration Jan 2017 Cities of Gold Thomson Dream April2017 Atlantic Daydream Thomson Majesty Sept2017 Med Medley/Treasures of Med
newbiewaves Posted January 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2017 agree I have YF vaccination but OH didnt. Were whisked through airport and just filled in form to hand in at port. YF is only required if you have visited a risk country in previous 6 months. We did top up on some jabs as recommended by GP. Asking about YF was a good way to discover what we should have and were lacking. We also didn't pay the departure tax as cruise only. If you stay in Jamaica even for 1 day you then have to pay it. WeeCountyMan Posted January 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Your passport will indicate which countries you have visited, outwith the EU, if necessary.
