colleenco Posted February 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2017 First time cruiser here and I have a question about the restaurants you pay for. How does it work? If I buy Chops in the cruise planner for $33 a person, what do we get what when we go? One app and one entree? And I have the same question for all the restaurants you pay for. THANKS! The price includes multiple starters and sides, but only one entree. Extra entrees are at least $10 each. Several premium entrees are not even included in the $33, and you must pay more for one of those.
colleenco Posted February 7, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2017 OK so do I get to choose the starters? I guess they will explain it to me when I go? Do you find it to be a good value for the price? Seems cheap to me! Also - same thing for the Italian restaurant by Jamie Oliver? Thanks!
Clarea Posted February 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2017 Yes, you get to choose the salads/soups/starters/desserts/entrees. Here is a typical menu: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/menus/chops.pdf You can see the extra cost entrees in the box called "Something Special". We each had gotten a salad, then when got one of their planks, they will do a combo plank if that is what you want instead of a vege or meat plank. The waiter brought out arancini and mushrooms for us to try before our entrees came. Luckily, I had ordered eggplant because we were so full by then. The cheesecake was excellent for dessert. Note that pastas are available in a smaller size if you want to try multiple pastas without waste.

One entree but as many of all the other courses you want. There will typically be 3-5 options for each course. Appetizers, soup, salad, entree, dessert. Sometimes a fish course, an amuse buche or a palate cleanser as well. Sent from my iPad using Forums
