Ecstasy and a Helicopter

Just off the 2/9 four-night Bahamas sailing aboard the Ecstasy out of Charleston. Last evening, on our last leg home, from about 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. a large (not a sight-seeing) camo-green helicopter was hovering around the Ecstasy. We originally thought it was dispatched to pick up an ill or injured pax. But the ship did not slow down in order to off-load such a passenger for pick-up by the helicopter. It also did not seem to be on a search mission. No other ships in sight and we're about 200 miles east of Florida off Jacksonville. Asked a few crew, but no one knew anything. Any thoughts....just askin?

Probably maneuvers.

How was your cruise? Can you please provide your experience?

Food, cabins?? Was the weather warm enough to enjoy the beach?

Did you have any problems that needed attention?

Any advise for us soon to be Ecstasy cruisers?

Cruise was great. Arrived via uber and was among the first 25 to board. No problems in boarding process. Weather was fabulous the whole cruise...upper 70's and sun. Food at dinner in MDR was okay, not great, not lousy...except for the escargot...loved it. Had lunch at Guy's twice. Loved it! Had a burrito, as well. Very good. Breakfast was omelette station and then the burrito bar for ranchos huevos one morning and breakfast burrito the other. Very good. The 2.0 upgrade makes a big difference. Cabin was clean, as was the whole ship. She looks sharp with a new exterior paint job. In Nassau, we did a day-pass at Breezes. Weather was beautiful and we certainly enjoyed the beach, but the water was quite chilly. So, if you intend to snorkel or do any other water sports, bring a wet suit. We did self-walk off. Was off the Ecstasy by 7:30, got an uber and home by 8:00. All in all, a very nice quick getaway.
