JC168 Posted March 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2017 Our family will be visiting Copenhagen in June on a cruise and after some research, noticed that I can take the train from CPH to Copenhagen Central Station where our hotel (Scandic Copenhagen) is only 8 minutes walk from the station. Would like to know if the train will allow luggages. We are a family of 4 with 3 check in luggage's and 2 carry on's. Thanks. Danish viking Posted March 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2017 I would be very silly if the airport train didn´t allow luggage. :D Joke aside, just go for the low for carriages (its the middle one out of 3) So if there is 2 trainsets coupled together it will be the 2nd and 5th carriage and if 3 trainsets are coupled together go after the 2nd, 5th or 8th carriage. The other carriages can also handle luggage but its easier in the low floor compartment. This picture shows 1 trainset. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%98resundst%C3%A5g#/media/File:%C3%96resundst%C3%A5g_p%C3%A5_maskrosf%C3%A4lt.jpg
JC168 Posted March 22, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted March 22, 2017 Hi Danish Viking, Thanks for the valuable info. Just wondering will it look silly for our family to roll luggages from Copenhagen Central Station to Scandic Copenhagen? I figure it's only 8 minutes walk, therefore not necessarily need a taxi. GradUT Posted March 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2017 It won't look silly rolling your luggage from the station to your hotel. That's what travelers in Europe do.
JC168 Posted March 23, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted March 23, 2017 Thanks GradUT for the assurance. First time rolling luggages into the hotel without being drop off by bus or taxi. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Danish viking Posted March 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2017 I´m pretty sure you won´t get a taxi driver to take you for that trip, they will simply refuse to take the trip. But its a easy walk and the hotel will be visible on large part of the walk.

anthonyy7 Posted March 27, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 27, 2017 We took the train to central station and walked to the scandic last Aug without any issues. The Copenhagen card will cover the cost of the train if you pick it up at the airport. Just make sure the start date is correct. Almost immediately someone came thru to check for tickets. JC168 Posted March 27, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted March 27, 2017 Thanks Anthonyy7 for the info. Might as well make good use of Copenhagen Card for transportation. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
