Bidding question from NCL newbie

Booked our first NCL cruise to Bermuda last night. Got the bidding email today. When I follow the link it takes me to a page with the different Haven cabins available and a little sliding scale for you to enter your bid. There is a dollar value at the end of that scale - for instance, the H9 Haven Spa Suite with Balcony has a value of $2670 on it. Is that the rate that the cabin is currently selling for? Also, I assume that what I bid is above and beyond what I've already paid and not the new total cost of our cabin? I.e. if we paid $1500 each for our current cabin and NCL accepts a bid of $1700 per person, do I owe them a further $200 per person or am I paying $1700 per person on top of the $1500 pp we've already paid? Sorry if this is a silly question...I've been on many cruises but am completely new to NCL and the idea of bidding for an upgrade!

Thanks for your help :)
