I'm thinking the back streets where there aren't as many people ;p

As long as you don't wander to far up the winding streets and get lost you will be okay as a lot of small shops are just off the main Street but the main thing is hide your money and try not to look like a tourist.

Otherwise find a nun!!!!. They will stop for them

I think the worry is trying not to get mugged between the ship and town .......... you may survive the road but not the back streets .............. unless you have a nun on hand

I think these are very sensible ideas.

How much is a nun for the day?

Sometimes you should not start with the last post in a topic.

To summarise.

You can walk into the centre up a hill in 15 minutes from the terminal.

Take care crossing the roads but there are proper crossings light controlled.

There is a long shop filled main Street and a maze of back streets of interesting things.

Watch out for motor scooters and pickpockets and leave jewelry on the ship.

We have been 10 times without incidents so explore and have a great time.
