Cruisedreamer1 Posted April 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2017 I just found out about this chartered cruise for 2019. It sails to from Papeete to Gambier Islands, Pitcairn Islands, Rangiroa, Bora Bora, Taha'a, Huahine, Moorea for a total of 15 days. Viewing of the total solar eclipse takes place on day 7 at sea. This cruise is chartered by Wilderness Travel out of Berkeley, CA. and additional information can be obtained from their website. It looks to be a great cruise! Tony8489 Posted July 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2017 I was on the Paul Gauguin for the 2010 eclipse and signed up for 2019 on the first day it was available back in March. The Paul Gauguin also sailed to the 2005, 2009 and 2012 eclipses. It's a great ship and it takes the mission of evading clouds for the eclipse very seriously. With that track record it's not surprising that it sells quickly and you won't see any discount pricing.
