Rare Cruise Raider Posted April 21, 2017 #26 Share Posted April 21, 2017 We live in the East Bay and just take BART to Embarcadero station and roll our luggage to pier 27, short 15 - 20 minute walk (we are in our 60s). Last year we splurged and stayed at the Hyatt Regency the night before. We've done that before as well .. all flat and with a sidewalk on the waterfront so not a bad journey in the very least. If we pack wine for our cruise, we usually try to get a ride, though.
Sea Hag Posted April 22, 2017 #27 Share Posted April 22, 2017 When we lived in San Jose, we always took CalTrain to the end of the line and then a taxi to the port. That worked flawlessly. The taxi driver had to hassle with the traffic around the port, and that's sometimes a huge hassle. Never had a problem getting a taxi at the train station.
