cruisernurse Posted November 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2005 Are the rooms near the convention center or ice rink loud? What are some good rooms without a lot of noise and movement on this ship? We will be on the Sept 17th 2006 voyage. Please help. Thanks
wrp96 Posted November 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2005 If you are looking for not a lot of movement, look for staterooms on lower decks in the middle of the ship.
cruisernurse Posted November 22, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 22, 2005 wrp, good luck on law school. I just finished! we have been on many many cruises, but not on AOS. Is there a lot of movement on this ship? Have you been on this ship and if so what room did you have and would you take the same room again? cruisernurse Posted December 2, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Can anyone help me on this subject? Are the rooms near the ice rink loud at night? Are the rooms near the elevator and stairwells loud too? It seems most of the good prices are near those 2 areas. Thanks
harmonymouse Posted December 2, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Those are some of the quietest rooms on the ship. The room we had was at the end in a short little bank of exterior-only rooms on the same floor as the ice rink and had almost no motion at all. DH was worried about motion sickness, which is why we booked that particular location in Feb. '04. We are going back again in Feb. '06 and have booked the exact same room because we enjoyed our room so much. We thought about getting a suite on a higher deck, but didn't want to deal with all the hall traffic and noise. Good Luck! ckrobyn Posted December 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I've only sailed Radiance class - is there a big difference in feeling motion on Radiance vs Voyageur class?
cruisinfanatic Posted December 2, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I've only sailed Radiance class - is there a big difference in feeling motion on Radiance vs Voyageur class? It has almost nothing to do with the ship. All depends on weather.
