We sailed in April and the Hotel Director was Armando Da Silva. He was fantastic and was very personable and engaging.

The hair dryer in our stateroom was not getting the job done for my long hair and my steward was being a stinker about giving me a different one but I dropped a note in the "Tell Armando" box near guest services and I had a replacement the same day. I ran into Armando later on and thanked him and he said that at the end of the cruise he hates for someone to say to him, "it was a great cruise, but..." He said, "After 11 days there should be no 'buts' we have to know if there is a problem so we can make it right." I thought that was awesome.

 

Didn't spend any time in the casino so I can't help you there, but do be sure to make a Teppanyaki reservation as soon as you get on the ship - there is only one table and it books up fast!

 

We really liked the Spirit, hope you do too!

Armando, who is in a different league when it comes to Hotel Directors in my opinion, left the Spirit in April.

 

I assume he will probably be back again soon. He seems to be the usual HD on the Spirit.

 

Unfortunately, I can't recall who he was replaced by. Other than Armando I never usually even notice them.
