muffin Posted June 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Havent cruised carnival since they started to assign set times to board. Understand you get to choose. Our cruise is in January. I cannot locate anywhere to pick our choice time. Is it because it is too early, or do you have to wait until after full payment has been made? Thanks for the info. On splendor if that matters. Quagmire789 Posted June 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Our cruise in October, it didn't open up to choose until early May...seems like most are saying 5-6 months before and I don't believe you have to be paid off. And I assume you meant check in time, not boarding the ship
muffin Posted June 1, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted June 1, 2017 thx for the info....thought it must be just too soon. Will wait, and try to get a good time for the check in.
springs741 Posted June 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2017 I will verify you do not need to have your cruise paid in full to pick you check in time. Please note it is check in time not embarkation time. Just trying to manage expectations.
nitewolfusaf Posted June 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2017 Carnival's website says 6 months prior to sailing is when you should be able to go into your cruise manager and select your check-in time. If you are diamond/platinum or FTTF you are one of the first groups to board. It's generally large groups, diamond/platinum, then FTTF then they move onto the rest of people by zone number. HawkIVette Posted June 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2017 I agree with springs that cruise does not have to be paid in full to select check-in time. Our cruise for Dec. 10, 2017 just came up for check-in time last week. Was not available until then, as I booked this cruise in March. I am Platinum, so it would not make a difference, as I would have been able to board right away and not have to wait, but we are traveling with friends who are not. Earliest time we could get is 1:30 ( this cruise is out of San Juan) so we will just get to the port early, drop our bags and walk across the street to Senor Frogs and find "something" to do. ratherBcruizin' Posted June 1, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2017 So if I'm platinum I can board upon arrival to port and not wait for the scheduled time? First cruise with scheduled times. Thanks.
candigirl41 Posted June 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2017 So if I'm platinum I can board upon arrival to port and not wait for the scheduled time? First cruise with scheduled times. Thanks. You still need to pick a check in time but can arrive anytime you like. My check in time for my next cruise is 12:30. I will be at the port around 11:00. You won't be able to board immediately unless the ship is cleared. Candi
