Extra key to kids' room

I am cruising on the dream in 9 days and have my daughter (10) and niece (11) in the room across the hall from me. Do you know if Carnival will give me an extra key for access to their room? I want to be able to go in and check if they are sleeping, etc..., without knocking and waking them up...

No, problem getting an extra key for your use.

You may want to "re-think" not having them put the security lock on (door key will not open the cabin door when it's on) when they are in their cabin alone and certainly while they are sleeping.

I've chaperoned my share of kids on various trips. One way to check on them past the "lights out" time is to tape the door. Basically, a quick glance will tell you if the seal has been broken / door has been opened.
