Rare CruiserFromMaine Posted June 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Everyone has their favorite but I really like Portland Lobster. Nice outdoor seating too.
Bitterman Posted June 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We'll be there on the 28th and we're planning on walking to the Portland Lobster Company as well. Voted best lobster roll last two years I believe. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
chengkp75 Posted June 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2017 DeMillo's has been resting on their previous reputation for years, I don't think their food is all that great. Scales and Eventide are pretty upscale, you're going to pay a pretty penny for a lobster roll. Both Portland Lobster and Becky's Diner do fine lobster rolls (and they are the closest to the pier), though the best ones in Portland are the ones at my house. ;) For anything other than a lobster roll, Scales, Eventide, or Boone's are good choices, though like all Portland's dining, it is pricey. I prefer Boone's, where Harding Lee Smith has reinvented a Portland classic eatery into fine upscale dining with things like Lobster Poutine or a Lobster roll made with a full 1-1/4 lb lobster's meat (again, I can beat his $30 by getting a $8.50 pound and a quarter bug and a pack of hot dog rolls).
