uboatman Posted July 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Does anyone know if MSC liners (in particular MAGNIFICA) have ATMs on board? If not, can the "Casino" be used to exchange Euros (Baltic Cruise) to Rubles? Thanking you for your assistance.
stealthy Posted July 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2017 No ATM's. Not sure of money exchange, I wouldn't think so.
Rare Beamafar Posted July 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2017 I've been on Magnifica and, no, there are no ATMs onboard. Nor is it possible to exchange currencies in the casino.

I have been able to exchange currencies at the guest relations desk in the past Pete
Rare little britain Posted March 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2018 No charge to get cash out against your account apparently.
Rare Beamafar Posted March 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Is it possible to get cash out against your onboard account to use at the tables? Do they charge a fee for this? RCI charge 3%. TIA You can use the slot machines to access cash, LB. I managed to get cash on our last cruise, to test it out and had no problem. Another poster did the same and reported back that the cashier actually congratulated them on their winnings! Just register your cruisecard in a machine and request an amount to be transferred, then 'Cash Out'. Bring the printed voucher to the cashier who should exchange it for cash. I advise that you don't do it near the cashier's desk, or too hurriedly, though. I read on the forum that someone tried to cash out OBC and the cashier spotted that they hadn't been playing the slots and advised them that they were not an ATM. The person then went back to one of the machines, played a couple of times, cashed out and were $10 up on what they originally wanted. ETA Actually, just thinking about it - you may be able to use your cruisecard at the tables - I've never played at the tables, so am not au fait with the procedure. h0twired Posted March 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 29, 2018 No charge to get cash out against your account apparently. MSC charges 5% for a cash advance off of your account. Better off just putting how much money you want into a slot machine and then "cashing out" the full amount. No charges that way.
Rare Hlitner Posted March 29, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Why not just exchange Euros for Rubles in Talinn, assuming Talinn is one of the ports. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Forums mobile app Talin is on the Euro. You might be able to get some Rubles in Talin, but will likely not get a great exchange rate. The reality of St Petersburg is that its often very possible to spend a few days in that city without using any Rubles....especially if you are on a private tour or cruise line excursion. In many places they are happy to accept Euros or US Dollars...and credit cards (especially MC and Visa) are accepted in many restaurants and shops. So handy to have some. For the rest I wouldn't exchange too many Euros for rubles. Will be hard to exchange them again if not used.
