miss_rach Posted August 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2017 If we get on the bus 4A at the princess alice terminal does that get us close (walking distance) to Harrison's Cave? How long does it typically take the bus to get there? Cheers!
EatonDoolittle Posted August 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2017 You've asked 3 quite specific, yet not at all cruise related questions here. You might have better luck by finding a website specific to Barbados Tourism, on TripAdvisor, or even by asking on Google.
miss_rach Posted August 15, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted August 15, 2017 Not really specific. I'd think rather easy questions that folks that have been there more than one time can answer easy. I'm sure many, many folks have taken the bus all around the Island and figure someone sooner or later can answer the questions.
ming Posted August 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Adventurous, are you? Yes, bus 4A out of the Princess Alice terminal will take you within a 10 minute slow walk to Harrison’s Caves. Time to get there? Well, the busses run about every 20-30 minutes on weekdays and there are at least 15-20 stops between the terminal and Harrison’s. I would budget an hour, at least. Other than the returning bus, taxis are iffy as they are waiting for their fares to finish the tour. You may be able to share a cab back if you find someone willing. Usually there is a large queue of people waiting at the caves for their tour to begin and the wait gets longer the later that you go. You could wait 1-1/2 hours if you arrive at 11am or later. Have a great adventure! :)
