sfaaa Posted September 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2017 Only Old Town Trolley would pick up & drop off at the pier. Book direct online and you save $12 pp comparing to Carnival price.
Splinter Posted September 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2017 We have bought Old Town Trolley tickets. Their website says they stop at the cruise ship pier whenever there is a ship in port.
easyboy Posted September 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Can you catch this directly from the pier? It was a short ride on the shuttle.
138east Posted September 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Closely read the description of the Trolley tour being offered. Sometimes the cruiselines are actually offering a 1 hour 40 minute Trolley tour with no hop on hop off privileges. The regular hop on hop off Trolley stops near the pier when a ship is in port. Look at the Old Town Trolley map closely. Stops 16-19 are actually a separate loop that collects riders from the entire Seaport area and shuttles them to stop 1 where the regular tour for stops 1-15 begins. Faircliff Posted September 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2017 We have bought Old Town Trolley tickets. Their website says they stop at the cruise ship pier whenever there is a ship in port. Yes, they say that, but when we got to the stop other people there said they had been waiting and finally phoned the office. It seems they don't always stop there when a ship is in, so you would be advised to let them know the date/time you will be there. The stop is about a block from where you get off the ship. Leave the terminal and turn left. Walk about a block to where you see a white tent (the kind people have at BBQs). They will take you to the office/stop #1 and you'll transfer onto the main route. You'll return the same way. Despite warnings, there were only 4 people at our stop so we had not trouble getting on. There are more people at stop #1 but they have more buses and things move quickly. Just aim to do it as early as you can; later in the day it's a big of a zoo.
