Beware Beware Of Giving Your Cabin #

Any Tom, Dick or Harry doesn't call a cruise line and successfully cancel a booking by supplying only the cabin number.

Wouldn't it require the booking number and passenger's name?

Ivesgrandmama, did anyone else that reads Cruise Critic know not only your cabin number, but also your name and booking number as well?

I work in customer service and most of the time we do take the proper channel of doing things the correct way. But it is possible that it could have happen like this. The person calling in gave the cabin number reach a person who was in a hurry to leave or end the phone call and just cancelled the cruise. Sometimes people are in a rush and dont get all the info they should have. All that I"m saying is "it is possible"
