Rare Eglesbrech Posted October 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Will anyone's fly cruise be affected by the collapse of Monarch today? P&O used to use Monarch many years ago but is it mainly BA / TUI/ Thomas Cook now?
Thejuggler Posted October 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Monarch stopped long haul flights a while ago. Many think that was a mistake and was part of their downfall.
annieuk Posted October 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2017 The Monarch flights we had on P&O when we first went with them back in 2005 were amongst the worst we've ever had. We were so pleased when they changed to Thomson/Thomas Cook. Fred Olsen used to use Monarch too but they don't now. Hadn't realised Monarch had stopped doing long haul - just as well really given the current situation.
Rare Eglesbrech Posted October 3, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Yes we always hated the Monarch flights, far too tight space and poor food, which is why I was not sure if they still used them or if I had just managed to avoid them. Glad no cruises affected by really feel for all those other passengers who are.
