There was currency exchange at the pier in both Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba. In neither port did we use tenders. I think that Cienfuegos can only handle one ship at a time at the pier as the Pearl Mist was anchored off shore and using tenders.

Hi, pbenjamin. Please ignore my question about CUCs in Cienfuegos on another thread. I just saw this. However, just out of curiosity, Pearl ships are quite a bit smaller than our ship but I'll ask anyway: Was the Pearl Mist anchored fairly close to the main part of Cienfuegos, or was it down near the point, on a little strip of land (La Punta in Cienfuegos) that runs south of the main part of Cienfuegos? Since we're scheduled to tender I'm guessing they'll have to take us up to the dock area for passport check, CUC exchange, get on buses for excursions, etc. But of course, nobody knows, perhaps not even the cruise line!
