Review of MSC Divina Sailing Oct 29th-Nov. 4th 2017

This is as far back as you can go in the buffet or the ship. This is a really nice place to sit, but it is quite far from the actual food on the buffet. The views are worth it though.

Pea soup (very good), Thai vegetables (yummy), Chicken Curry ( very good), Ham & cheese (made a little sandwich very yummy), Tacos (the shells were stale, I wouldn't get them again).

 

 

Round 2 Cannelloni (very good), Mashed Potatoes and Gravy (very yummy), Turkey from the carving station (very tough and fatty, yuck) pasta in red sauce (very yummy) pasta in Roquefort cheese sauce (I didn't care for it all, the cheese overwhelmed the pasta and sauce).

 

 

Terry and I shared these desserts, Coffee Mousse (good if a little strong in the coffee flavor) Chocolate Cream Puff (heavenly) Fruit Tart (the best dessert hands down the entire cruise in my opinion. I had one of these just about everyday, loved them) Cake Roll (Terry loved it, I didn't care for it) Chocolate Cake (again Terry loved it, I didn't care for it).

I do hope this review / diary continues. I enjoy it because it is not from the lofty view of the privileged YC class, but from regular working class schlebs, like me! I am curious about the "secret balcony" you mentioned earlier. Please tell me how to find it. I am sailing 28 Oct 2018 Western Caribbean and am looking forward to a great adventure. We are flying in from South Africa a week prior to enjoy some time doing theme parks in Orlando. I can understand being ill. On the last day of my cruise on board MSC Sinfonia from Mauritius to Durban in 2016, I had the chicken curry on offer in the MDR for lunch. It was most likely leftovers, just curried from the day / night before. By 7pm I had tummy grumbles and just as the show began I dashed to my cabin and spent the remainder of the trip in the bathroom. I guess I should known better. Nonetheless, your cruise seems to be going well thus far. You enjoy the food and that is a major part of any voyage. I am glad to see that there was some halloween celebration. Was there a halloween themed eveing or party? My cruise is over the same period. It could be fun to dress up! Looking forward to reading more.
