Casino Games on Carnival

Just wondering what casino table games are on Carnival besides Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette? I've read that Texas holdem has made it's way into the ship casinos. Are there any other table games?

It's been a few years since my last cruise. I'll be going on the Destiny next month.

Thanks

There are all different kinds of slots, video poker/blackjack. There are Blackjack tables, including a couple strange variants of blackjack...be careful you know the rules before you play them, there are poker tables, and some ships are getting Texas Hold'em tables. Roulette, Craps... that's all that comes to mind.

I've also heard, though not confirmed, its probably true, that since the slot machines on the ships arn't regulated by a gaming board (such as the ones in Las Vegas or Atlantic City) the payouts on the slots are a lot less.

I believe the Las Vegas Gaming Board regulates that slot machines must pay out 97% (on average).

However, the table games still have the same odds of winning as your every day casino.

Was on the Inspiration a couple of weeks ago. They do have a Hold 'em table now (it's not actually in the casino, it's in a lounge near the rear of the ship on the same floor as the casino).

As for other games:

Craps, Roulette, Blackjack. They had a couple of Blackjack offshoots which I only glanced at, never played. They had slightly different rules (i.e. dealer must hit on soft 16, player wins all 21s, don't remember exactly what they were). Don't remember seeing much else, other than a variety of slots.

David,

Vegas or Nevada definately do not have to payback 97%. They must pay back a minimum of 75%. But they don't hold that much or they would be out of business fast.

Here's a list of average payouts by denomination for different jurisdictions. I'm not sure how old it is but it's consistent with what I've seen before.
