bowlman23 Posted November 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2017 It's been around 6 years since I cruised, and if I remember right, there was a time to purchase the package where it was actually a little cheaper. I want to say right when we left port, because then we didn't pay tax. Is there any benefit to pre-purchasing or waiting? Thanks!
naveen926 Posted November 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The best time to purchase almost any package is as soon as you book the cruise. Online prices as early as possible will be the cheapest you will see!
firemanbobswife Posted November 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The tax thing hasn’t been in effect for a couple years at least now. It’s the same price and you pay tax on the individual drinks you have while in a US Port/Port of Call.
jennybenny Posted November 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2017 While the package will not be taxed, getting drinks when in some ports will be taxed. So even if you have the package, you will pay tax for drinks you get while in port. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
maryred Posted November 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The only advantage to buying the Bottomless Bubbles before boarding is you will not need to find a bartender that knows how to ring in the transaction or wait on a line at the BB table. The only other possible plus is IF Carnival increases the price later on, you will have bought it at the older lower price and are now locked in to the savings. bowlman23 Posted November 25, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Thanks everyone. Like I said, it has been six years since my last cruise on RCCL, so I couldn't remember. Appreciate it!
