FLL Uber or Lyft. In need of a large car or van?

We will be Flying into FLL next JAN, 4 people wlth extra bags. Looking for a ride to Hilton Marina. Does Uber or Lyft have any large cars or van type transportation?? Like to stay all together. Or should we just grab a taxi? Thanks..

You could use Uber XL which are SUV's with space for the four of you.

The price for an UberXL will be about the same as for a mini-van/SUV taxi; if the app gives you a long wait time for an XL I would take another look at the taxi line.

On our last cruise ending in FLL,...we took a taxi twice from ship to hotel and also hotel to shopping

Both taxi drivers were totally rude......got us lost on a 3 minute ride

Also I guess they get mad if you have a short ride....cruise terminal to hotel is under 10 minutes....short run

There is a set fee for those kinds of rides...........our driver wouldn't answer me directly when I asked how much I owed him....."just look at the sign on the window!"

So lesson learned, a very nice waitress told Us to sign up for Uber..........totally pleasant experience

In Feb we took taxi minivan from FLL to Port Everglades and back afterwards. Cost was about $16. Fyi

We are doing the same in May.

We have used cabs before but I’m not thrilled with them.

Can anyone tell me where I would pick up an Uber at the Ft Lauderdale airport?

How to get picked up at FLL Airport

 

1 Request when you’re ready to walk outside.

 

Be sure to choose a ride option that suits your group size and luggage storage needs.

 

And set your pickup location to the Commercial Passenger Vehicle area, located between terminals.

 

2 Exit on the arrivals level.

 

Head to Commercial Passenger Vehicle area. This is where all Uber driver-partners at FLL meet travelers for pickup.

 

3 Wait curbside.

 

If you can't find your driver, contact him or her through the app to confirm your location.
