kruzerci Posted December 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2017 We had a very nice cruise on the Freedom a couple of weeks ago. We love sailing on the Voyager and Freedom class ships but this was the first cruise that I got a "yuck" feeling in regards to our room and the hallways. Yes, it's a large expense, but come on Royal. The carpets look original in all the staterooms and hallways, very worn and nasty looking. It just made me think twice about it when I was reading the posts about the same comments regarding Indy on the noro thread. From looking at pictures it looks like Navigator has new carpeting and stateroom furniture since her drydock, I'm assuming some of the other Voyager-class do as well. It's a shame they aren't more proactive about it on all the ships.
Ourusualbeach Posted December 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2017 I've seen them replace carpet during a cruise. It doesn't necessarily wait until a drydock.
MikeBTN Posted December 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2017 Sailed Freedom last June and they replaced carpet in many stairways while we were sailing.
