amy2313 Posted December 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2005 Sailing on RC in Feb. and we are flying in the night before to Ft. Lauderdale. The cruise leaves out of Miami so we were hoping to get some advice on hotels either in Ft. Lauderdale area and then we'll drive to the Port of Miami in the morning or suggestions on hotels right near the Port in Miami. We are not familiar with the area so any suggestions is greatly appreciated for either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. We'd like someplace nice but that is also reasonably affordable. Thanks for any help you can give!!
CaptData Posted December 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2005 Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It is within 1/2 mile of port. You can see the ships come in and turn in the morning (be up very early). Bayside Market Place is right across the street.

Cuizer2 Posted December 17, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2005 I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami. A little expensive, but very nice rooms. You can see the cruise ship docks and it is about three blocks from the Bayside Market Place. Across the street is a free people mover type of transportation. Here is a link to provide you with more info about hotels near the cruise ships ... http://www.hotelsbythepier.com/ And here is one to help you get more info on a hotel before you book it ... http://www.tripadvisor.com/ And here is more info on the Intercontinental Hotel ... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/1/en/hd/miaha;jsessionid=NKISFKWCKQ3CMCTGWANCHPQKM0YBWIY4
