Is there a need to go through customs on way to fly to Cusco from cruise ship in Lima

Does anyone know if you have to go through customs at Lima International Airport once you get off the cruise ship and are traveling to Cusco from the airport? I have searched the boards and can't find an answer to this. We are traveling from Miami to Lima in February and then flying to Cusco to visit Machu Picchu. Thanks!

From Lima to Cusco is a domestic flight within Peru. You go through the usual airport security procedures, but not through customs.

Double check to make sure you are flying out of the international airport for your Cusco flight ... most domestic flights used to leave out of another airport.
