Splinter Posted June 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Could you be more specific? What type of products are you looking for? The prices are higher in Cabo than in the other 2 ports. Shopping for handicrafts is easy in all 3 (Zona del Oro in Mazatlan, the Malecon area in PV, everywhere in Cabo). I prefer PV for silver jewelry, but was disappointed my last trip (too many of the same items at every single shop). You can also buy Mexican textiles and clothing, leather goods, native beaded wood sculptures, and some fine art (ie, Sergio Bustamante, etc.) in each of these ports. Prices have gone up, but still most is cheaper than the USA. Alcohol is not a real bargin...you can often beat the prices for good tequila at home in your local big box discount place. tinydancer21 Posted June 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2004 Is the Wal-Mart an American one or a Wal-Mex? Are the prices about the same as at home? I'm wondering cuz I can pack less knowing I'd be close to a Wal-Mart three days into the cruise. :) **BTW what is up with Wal-Mart? We just got one in Fairbanks two months ago and the tourist are going crazy! ha ha We locals love it to but I work at a campground and the first thing the tourist ask about is Wal-Mart! haha :D
