Sag13 Posted January 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2018 We have a late flight 7:25 pm after our cruise on a Sunday. Is there a hotel with a good Sunday buffet brunch where we could go and relax for a few hours?. We will have our luggage so it would have to be a hotel. Any suggestions would be appreciated. JohninDC Posted January 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Take a taxi to FLL, pay to store your bags there, and then you are free to go where you want - water taxi, Las Olas, beach, etc. http://www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist and hotel info. ;)
capriccio Posted January 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Take a taxi to FLL, pay to store your bags there, and then you are free to go where you want - water taxi, Las Olas, beach, etc. www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist and hotel info. ;) To expand on John's recommendation: Consider sending your luggage to the airport using the cruise-line's luggage program (luggage direct or luggage valet) where you put it out the night before and see it again at your destination airport. Alternatively, each terminal at FLL has baggage storage run by Bags to Go (http://www.bagstogo.net). On weekends there is a free trolley from the airport to downtown and vice versa. Check out the Sun Trolley Airport Link (http://www.suntrolley.com). Alternatively you can take a taxi or Uber downtown.Once downtown, the Sun Trolley can take you to the beach (among many other places). The fare is $1/ride or $3/day pass. [*]Check out http://www.lasolasboulevard.com for info on the downtown area including attractions and restaurants. It is a great location to pick up the water taxi (http://www.watertaxi.com) or take a mini-cruise on the Carrie B (http://www.carriebcruises.com). On your specific question about a Sunday Brunch, I know Coconuts (http://coconutsfortlauderdale.com/) - located on the intracoastal across from the beach - has one. We've eaten their frequently for lunch and dinner but not brunch.
