What are the best things on Jewel of the Seas?

Recommended Posts

It's the only place that's open for late night snacks. The Windjammer closes around 9pm (they still have a coffee/tea station available in the 'outside' seating area, and the coffee shop on Deck 5 or 6 closes around 10.30/11, sometimes earlier. We eventually found the Solarium was open until around 1am, serving pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs and cookies, when we were on Jewel TA in November.

We were on her in January. Didn't know that the Solarium stayed open late. Probably couldn't see by then!!!

Our favorite place was the Schooner Bar. We played trivia instead of Bingo on this trip. Had a blast!! Also liked the sports bar behind the casino. Only time I have gotten close enough to Dale Earnhardt to have my picture taken...LOL!! It was a low key ship and for that I was thankful. I like to be able to talk to the people around me. Cell phone stays in the safe.

Just an observation from me. We own a bar in upstate NY. I look around and see so many people sitting next to each other....their thumbs flipping away on the damn phone. We have lost contact with each other..IMO:(

The best concierge lounge fleet wide.

Agree, the CL is wonderful - still has outdoor patio area. Jewel is our favourite ship for a number of reasons. The hotel director runs the ship so well & is very accessible/visible. Means a lot. Great crew. The outdoor area at back of the ship is a major plus for dining.

Doing five B2B cruises on Jewel beginning April 8th including the TA to Rome. Plan to enjoy the Jewel before it goes to drydock in 2019 & changes are made. Then RC will implement new shorter menus, etc. & probably add more cabins.
